Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 12/7/11

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 150 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 5500cR
This is a lot of kills to get in multiplayer Matchmaking in a single day. You will need a hundred kills with precision weapons for the "This is My Rifle..." challenge and no other challenge today touches multiplayer so you will be on your own for bringing in these kills. After you hit a hundred for the "This is My Rifle..." challenge, go for whatever you playlist you enjoy and grind out the fifty remaining kills. Good luck.

Support Structure - Earn 30 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
To get assists in Firefight you will need to play in the Firefight Arcade playlist or Firefight Doubles. These two are the only playlists that have you with teammates in Firefight which is typically essential for giving an assist. You need to do at least forty percent damage to an enemy and then have your teammate finish the opponent off. This will award you an assists and you need thirty of them today. Communicate with your teammate(s) and you should be fine in getting assists. Expect this to take two to three games.

Foggy Notion - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Cloud and Famine on. - 1500cR
These two Skulls together are relatively harmless. The Cloud Skull disables you radar, I believe, and the Famine Skull makes ammunition on the ground more scarce. As usual, the best way to complete this challenge is to simply do a speedrun of Nightfall. A guide to do so can be seen here with video. Since this is not effecting gameplay too greatly, this can be done on a slew of other levels, such as Winter Contingency or New Alexandria. Pick your poison.

This is My Rifle... - Earn 100 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
This challenge will aid you greatly in getting the "Gunslinger" challenge done, but killing a hundred enemies with precision weapons in multiplayer is no easy feat itself. Typically, this is best done in Team SWAT or Team Snipers. Both of those start you with precisions weapons (DMR and Sniper, respectively) and, short of the Magnum, are the only weapons you can use in those playlists. Depending on your competition and if you are lucky enough to get objective games in the mix, this can take a large number of games to complete. Keep at it, though, and you can grind out these kills painlessly.
