Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 12/12/11

The Challenges:
Gunslinger - Kill 75 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2250cR
Since the Un, Deux, Trois challenge will likely take you more than three games, you should have no trouble completing this challenge while working on it. Expect to take six to seven games to complete this challenge depending on what playlist you chose. If you play Grifball, you could actually have this challenge done in two to three games but most other playlists will be significantly more games than that.

Return of the Mack - Kill 35 Elites in Campaign today on Normal or harder. - 3000cR
This challenge and "Huck It, Luck It" can be done very easily if you decide to work on the Weekly Challenge today. ONI Swordbase will get you a ton of Elite kills and, in fact, even if you are not going to do the LASO Challenge today, I would still advise you to play ONI: Swordbase. There really is not another level that is as good at providing Elite kills. Your next best option is Long Night of Solace after Rally Point Bravo.

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2900cR
Winning "X" number of games in multiplayer can always, always be a pain. This is especially irritating because, short of having a full team of friends, you have no control over your teammates, how much they communicate, and their skill. Due to that fact, this challenge will likely take you more than three games. Due to the low number of wins required, however, play whatever you feel like and just try to have fun. You cannot always be super-serious about this stuff.

Huck It, Luck It - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Cloud, Tough Luck, and Catch on. - 2000cR
If you are not doing the LASO Weekly Challenge today, which is a very easy way to complete this challenge, then your next best option is a speed-run of Nightfall on Heroic difficulty with the listed Skulls on. Follow this guide to see how to run through the level, with video, here. Not much to this one and you should be done in six to seven minutes.

The Weekly Challenge:

ONI: LASO - Complete ONI, Legendary, All Skulls On (LASO). - 22000cR
Ah, the return of the LASO Challenges. Well, ONI: Swordbase is certainly one of the more annoying mission on LASO difficulty, though, not the worst. Follow the guide here for strategies and ways to get through the level. You will likely find difficulty with the Hunters and the slew of Elites (including some Zealots) who appear, Remember that in every moment of this level you have an AI teammate with you that can do some heavy lifting since he/she is invincible. Let them take the brunt of the damage.
