The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
A hundred and twenty enemy kill will be a simple number to hit, as always. That is typically the number of kills you will get when playing a game in Firefight Matchmaking so you would hope to get this done in a single game. Gruntpocalypse would be a good option but the Grunts have a tendency to kill themselves which leaves you short of kills. Instead, try for 2X Score Attack as that gives you harder enemies, though just as easy to kill, which are much less likely to blow themselves up with poor grenades.
This will require multiple playthroughs of whatever levels you like in Reach. Personally, it is easiest to start with Winter Contingency and then work your way through the levels. I would also set the difficulty to Heroic so the rest of Noble and other AI Marines are not stealing your kills. As long as you put some shots on the Grunt, even if an AI teammate kills it, you will get credit. So if you see a crowd, simply try to hit as many as you can before the rest of you allies show up.
Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
To get this challenge, you will unfortunately need to die while playing a game of Firefight. In Firefight Matchmaking, you are given a spree every ten kills. However, once you hit fifty kills, the next spree comes at a hundred kills, five-hundred, and then a thousand. Cleary, you will not be hitting the five-hundred mark in Firefight Matchmaking so that cannot be your seventh spree medal. It is easiest to, after hitting fifty kills, let yourself be killed or simply commit suicide so you can start over your spree.
Light Fuse, Run Away - Kill 4 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 500cR
I'm pretty sure that this challenge should be worth more than five-hundred credits, but, Alas!, it will probably not get changed on a Sunday. Either way, the best playlist for this challenge is Multi Team. Go for one of the smaller maps and hang just within sight of the middle of the map. The middle is, stupidly, where most players get into melee battles in plain view of everyone else. Right before they are about to start their melee battle, toss a frag towards them. If timed right, you will get two kills. If not timed right, you will likely still get a kill. You can play some and keep coming back to your spot to do this as much as you want. Getting four grenades kills should be a cinch.
