Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 11/2/11

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2000cR
Since you will need to play likely multiple games in Firefight today for the "Flat Tire" challenge and then a bunch of multiplayer games for the "Un, Deux, Trois" challenge, this challenge will be well taken care of. I would not worry about it at all.

Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This challenge is always a pain but thankfully they are asking for five vehicles destroyed instead of ten today. Load up Score Attack and then you will need to go for Rocket, Sniper, or FRG Attack on the map Holdout, though Snipers is preferred. Holdout is the only map that has actual vehicle spawns (Banshees) while you play, instead of ones that are dropped in at the start of every round. The Banshees typically come every two to four minutes. You need to make the game tick down to zero to maximize your Banshee killing. Kite around the final enemies if need be. Expect to get two to three Banshee kills a game.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder. - 5000cR
This challenge seems to be popping up once a week recently for some reason. Again, I will just copy and paste: So, we have done this a lot over the last five weeks or so (I think this is probably the third or fourth time we have had this challenge) and this is probably old hat for most of you now. The easiest level to take care of this on is ONI: Swordbase. Load up Rally Point Bravo on Heroic and head to the garage. If you are lucky, the Gold Ranger-class Elite (a.k.a. BoB) will be up the ramp and the to the left. Take him out as quickly as you can. If he is not there, continue on through the level until you get to the part that is the multiplayer level. The BoB may be at the bottom of the ramp above shotgun spawn. He will be very easy to assassinate if you take him from the side.

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2900cR
Three games should be easy enough to win in a single day. You should really stick to what games you excel in and what playlists you typically win in. Here are some general tips, however. Play games with only two teams since multiple teams decrease your chances of winning. If you have friends that play extremely well, play with them and make it easier on yourself. If the games are not going well and you are losing a lot, take a break. You do not want to keep hitting your head against that wall. It will start to hurt after a while. Expect this to take about five or six games.
