Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 10/1/11

Please subscribe above this and/or follow me on twitter! Have any ideas or comments about the challenges? Post them down below!

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
A hundred and eighty enemies should not be at all hard to get today. However, you will likely not get enough kills from the rest of today's challenges to hit a hundred and eighty kills. My recommendation is to load up some Firefight Matchmaking after completing all the other challenges to finish this one off. It should not take long and a quick one or two games of either Gruntpocalypse of 2X Score Attack will definitely finish off this challenge.

Killing Frenzy - Earn a Killing Frenzy in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 4000cR
Killing Frenzies actually used to be hard to come by in the older Halo games. Of course, none of them had the Living Dead playlist full time. That is right, Living Dead is by far the best way to complete this challenge if you are a survivor. For me, Boardwalk is my best map (and, No, I do not jump on top of the flag pole) with the Cage being a close second. Try to get regular Zombies as Alpha Zombies is typically a shorter game and a lot less streaks involved. Remember that once Zombies get close to you, switch to the Shotgun, as they are fast enough to render the pistol useless from close range unless they are coming straight for you. Utilize your teammates as well. You will survive a lot longer with someone to watch your back.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 5 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2343cR
I would recommend focusing on the "Killing Frenzy" challenge and then moving onto this one since if you are playing Living Dead and using the Shotgun, you are likely to get this challenge. Now, Shotgun kills, Gravity Hammer kills, Energy Sword kills, Melee kills, and a Assassination kills all count as close quarters combat kills. You can definitely do these in regular matches in playlists like Multi Team or even Team Slayer, but more than likely you will get this while going for the "Killing Frenzy" challenge

Harder than Some - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Thunderstorm, Famine, and Tilt on. - 5000cR
Like usual, any sort of challenge requiring you to complete a mission on a harder difficulty with Skulls is typically best solved by playing Nightfall. If you did not already know, you can run through the entire level and only need to melee a few Covies along the way. Follow this LASO guide to see how.  You can definitely complete this challenge on other levels but remember that Thunderstorm upgrades every enemy, Famine cuts the ammunition on the ground in half, and Tilt makes the Covies hit you harder, and you hit them less. The skulls will probably make it feel a lot more like Legendary than Heroic.
