Well, I have been waiting this for a long time. The regular edition of the LoTR Trilogy has been on Blu-Ray
for a while, but with all that space on a Blu-Ray disc, it seemed like a complete waste. The extended Editions,
being much better versions of the films, have arrived for pre-order on Amazon. They end up adding a total of probably more than an hour to the trilogy and really fill in some gaps. I will be waiting to see if there any good extras accompanying the discs. No date has been set for their release yet, but I would assume mid-fall of 2011.
