The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2000cR
The other challenges today will not get you this one by a long shot. Once you get all the three multiplayer challenges done for tonight, head over to Firefight or Campaign. Firefight is likely the better option and it also gives you a chance to work on the Weekly Challenge. Whether you decide to do that by Arcade, Doubles, or Score Attack is entirely up to you though Arcade will give you the most waves per time spent. Either way, hitting four hundred kills should not be at all hard using Firefight.
I'm Rubber, You're Glue - Earn 1 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Typically this challenge had consisted of getting multiple sticky grenade kills in a single game and could definitely be a challenge at times. Getting a single sticky grenade kills, however, is very simple to get. Multi Team is the preferred playlist since you get a multitude of targets. If you can get Elite Slay, than this challenge is completely in the bag. Either way, this should be possible in any playlist excluding ones such as Grifball and, maybe, Action Sack.
Neuroscience - Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1200cR
I would specifically play SWAT, Snipers, or The Arena for this challenge. All of those playlists tend to start you off with Precision Weapons which are required for head shots. Those weapons are the DMR, Sniper, Needle Rifle, and the Focus Beam Rifle. It is difficult to get headshots with that last listed weapon, but the rest are tailor made for nailing that cranium. Get to it and remember, you need ten in a single game, not overall.
The Dream Shake - Earn 4 Double Kills in the same match in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This is possible to achieve in many playlists. Your best bet, however, is in a Grifball match. A Double Kill is, of course, when you get two kills within about four seconds of each other. Multi Team is also a possibility, but this is really possible in most playlists. Stick to Objective games and make good use of your grenades. Remember to spread out your kills so you do not end up just getting one long set of continuous Multi Kills. Getting up to a Killtrocity would be cool, but it will not get this challenge done.

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1875cR
It is a Firefight Thursday, as usual. No terribly hard challenges today but you will end up playing quite a few games. Play as much as you can in Firefight Arcade or Doubles so you can get some progress done on the Weekly Challenge. Besides that, expect this challenge to take you two to four games, whether you are in Score Attack or Firefight Arcade/Doubles. Doubles should probably go faster for getting kills, I would believe, but time might also be an issue as well.
This should, actually, not be as hard as it looks over the three to five games you will probably need to play today. If you are sticking to Gruntpocalypse, two games of 2X Score Attack will most likely take care of this challenge for you. You might require just one more game to hit the mark. It is harder to figure out the numbers for Firefight Arcade/Doubles since the you cannot guarantee Elites spawns during matches. More than likely they will spawn and you can probably get about fifteen a game if you are vigilant.
Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
This challenge is just easy credits. Basically, you will get a spree every ten kills. Considering the massive number of kills you can hit in a single game, this is very easy. Try to knock this out in your first game. The trick is this, once you get to about fifty kills, die on purpose. If you stay alive the entire time, you can only hit six sprees. So, you have to die on purpose to get that last spree. Now, if you have a Sniper, Sword, Hammer, or Shotgun, you can also get sprees with those and they should count towards this total. That way, you do not have to die if you do not want to.
A Heroic Breach - Kill 150 enemies on Corvette on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1125cR
If you can get this map to come up, pick it but aim for something like Rockets or any other power weapon. If you are done with the Weekly, go to Score Attack and you can do 2X Score Attack on this map to get the kills even quicker. Expect this to take to games however, because a hundred and fifty kills is probably pushing it for Firefight Arcade/Doubles. Do not pick Gruntpocalypse just because of the "Demon" challenge. Elites do not spawn on Gruntpocalypse, you know.

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1100cR
Nothing to see here. The "Now I Have a Machine Gun" challenge wants you to get forty kills in multiplayer Matchmaking. Clearly, that is higher than thirty. (Thank you college degree!) Regardless, easy challenges like these are just one less to fret and worry over. Especially with the next challenge.
Do you possibly think that Bungie and 343 like to torture us? I do! But seriously, you would think that they would hold off on this challenge until they got it so vehicle spawn were not so rare. However, we have one map that does give us vehicles, Holdout. The trick is, you need to be playing, Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack. In these gametypes, Banshees will spawn every two-four minutes. Your best option is to simply kill everything but one of the Hunters in the last wave and simply kite him around. Wait till the time fully expires and shoot the Banshees out of the air. Expect this to take three to five games. And do not choose 2X Score Attack because the kills will not count.
Linked Up with Bungie.net - Link your gamertag with Bungie.net and play a game in Halo: Reach Matchmaking. - 3000cRWell, this is a little awkward. It's like you new girlfriend telling you to go hook-up with your old one for a little bit. That is right, this challenge is from 343i telling us to go get 'linked' with Bungie.net. Now, I have no problem with this since all the Halo stuff like stat-tracking and file-shares is still over on Bungie.net. If you already have an account and it is linked to Bungie.net, just play a game and you are set. If you do not have an account, go to Bungie.net and click on "Sign up" in the top right corner. During sign up you can enter your gamertag and then you just need to play a game afterwards to get the credits. (Note that this might take a will to kick in so give it time if it does not go the first time.)
Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 40 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1300cRMulti Team is really the best option for this. Aim for objective gametypes if you can. Almost every gametype starts you off with an Automatic Rifle. From there it is simply about racking up kills. However, you can also use the Needler, Plasma Rifle, and Plasma Repeater to rack up some automatic weapon kills. Unfortunately, turrets do not count even though they should. Remember that, unless you are right up next to your opponent, short controlled bursts are your best option. This should take you about two to three games to complete.

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
You should end up getting this challenge in the same game that you get the "Be Their Huckleberry" challenge. You typically get about a hundred and twenty kills in the Score Attack playlist and in Gruntpocalypse as well. Even if you fail to finish off the game in the time allotted, you should be able to hit the hundred kills needed for this challenge.
Load up a game of Gruntpocalypse in the Score Attack playlist and you should be all set for this challenge. You do not have unlimited ammunition during Gruntpocalypse and the Magnum only has eight rounds per magazine with a spare five magazines, so stick near an ammo crate. You can head shot all the Grunts so getting to fifty should be done in relatively short order.
There Are Many Like... - Kill 100 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today. - 1000cR
Nightfall is a great level for this since you only really have access to precision weapons. As well, ONI: Swordbase and Tip of the Spear (only on single player) start you off with DMRs and you can pretty much use those for a large part of the mission. A hundred kills will probably take two playthroughs of a level or just simply playing through two levels. And precision weapons encompasses DMRs, Snipers, and Needle Rifles.
Credits for Completion - Complete 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1250cRA simple challenge for today that has us each playing five games in multiplayer Matchmaking. Fastest gametypes are still Living Dead and Grifball (if the teams are not at all even). Of course, five games, overall, should not take too long and you will probably be fine playing some other gametypes if time is not an issue to you. And remember that you must complete the games. Quitting out or getting kicked out for betrayals will not count. As well, do not idle cause that is complete a jerk-move.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR
Now, you should be able to do this challenge in a single game of Score Attack, but due to the Weekly Challenge, I will be urging you to play Firefight Arcade or Doubles to get this challenge gone. A hundred and twenty kill might take and extra game when playing with others since the only three times more kills available for four times the number of players, but you should not have too much trouble overall.
T-Hug It Out - Kill 4 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
Play a single game of Multi Team or Grifball and this challenge will take care of itself. Four close quarter combat kills in a game is very easy to come by in almost any gametype. Remember that any kill by Shotgun, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Beat Down, Pummeling, or Assassination counts as a close quarters combat kill. You should be able to have this done in a single game.
In Firefight, you get sprees every ten kills. You can go for fifty un-interrupted kills, but as long as you string together five sprees of ten kills, you should have the challenge done in short order. Firefight Arcade should do fine for this challenge since you actually have some backups in these fights. Whether or not weapon sprees still count for this challenge, I do not know but you can check and post below if you use a Sniper, Sword, Hammer, or Shotgun.
Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1400cR
Elite are more populous in Firefight Arcade, it would seems, but there are more people around to kill them. Sniper Fight and Rocket Fight should be good for dealing with Elites but you will have other people going for challenges so do not stand by idly and let them get the kills. And remember that in the later rounds, Mythic is turned on so it will take extra shots to down the gray-skinned aliens.
The Weekly Challenge:
Ride the Wave - Complete 150 Waves in Firefight Matchmaking. - 12000cR
So, this looks familiar. Yes, this is the same exact Weekly Challenge as last week. Not exactly overly impressive from 343i. If all else fails, you could have us just do missions on LASO difficulty again. At least that was challenging. Anyway, I will just quote from last week. "This challenge will require you to, at least, complete a whopping ten games of Firefight Arcade over the next week. Every game of Firefight Arcade, if completed, consists of sixteen wave (this includes the bonus round which counts as a wave.) A game like Score Attack only consists of five waves, so it is smarter to play Firefight Arcade. A person could actually get this challenge done in a single day but most likely you will have it done by the weekend. Good luck with this exceedingly difficult challenge /sarcasm."

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
This will be no issue at all considering the other challenges for the day, mostly "Flat Tire" and "The T.G. Opposition." You should be hitting about a hundred kills a game in Score Attack regardless of the gametype you choose. Should be done in a single game.
This will be only a small pain today since the required number is so low. Load up the Score Attack playlist and aim for Sniper, FRG, or Rocket Attack on the map Holdout. If you make the game last the full time, there is a chance that, at most, five Banshees will appear for you to destroy. Most likely, there will be three, on average. Do not use 2X Score Attack for this challenge since those vehicle kills do not seem to count. Expect this to take one or two games.
The T.G. Opposition - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Shotgun. - 1000cR
Head to 2X Score Attack and you should be able to get this challenge done in relatively short order. You can also try out regular Score Attack which should have a loadout featuring the Shotgun. 2X is obviously the more wanted of the two since it will go faster and the increased damage gives the shotgun some increased kill range. Either gametype should get the job done, however.
A Side of Huevos - Kill 40 enemies with Sniper Rifle headshots in Nightfall on Normal. - 1000cR
So, this is actually a really easy challenge. Basically, load up Nightfall on Heroic and you start with the Sniper. The first ten minutes of the level are the easiest for getting headshots with the Sniper. Once you have run through the first couple of areas, you can simply go to the menu and hit "Restart Mission." This should allow you to get all the forty kills needed for the challenge.
Last day to complete the Weekly Challenge. See how to here.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR
A lot of very easy challenges today and you will need to play Firefight, Multiplayer, and Campaign to get them all. First off is this challenges requiring you to get a hundred and twenty kills in Firefight Matchmaking. You can simply play a game or two of Score Attack and finish off this challenge, but I would also recommend playing Firefight Arcade or Doubles (per request!) to work on the Weekly Challenge of completing a hundred and fifty waves in Firefight Matchmaking. If you have already finished the Weekly, then just do Score Attack.
T-Hug It Out - Kill 4 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
This should be simple enough to finish off during the four games you need to play. If you are extremely worried about this challenge, make one of the four games you play Grifball and this challenge will be taken care of. Personally, I always get a ton of melee kills in Matchmaking so Grifball is not a necessity for me to complete this challenge. Remember that Shotgun, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Beat Downs, Pummeleds, and Assassinations all count as close quarters combat kills.
This challenge can be completed in a matter of minutes. Load up ONI: Swordbase on Heroic on Rally Point Bravo. Once it starts, drive up to the objective and get inside the "garage". To your right is the Target Locator, which you would have already used up had you played earlier. Grab and use it on the incoming Covies for a bunch of very easy kills. You should be able to hit ten here, but sometimes the Elites like to suddenly fall back. You do have two shots, so if you can peg an Elite, you should be all set to get your ten kills and be done with the challenge.
Participation Counts - Complete 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1200cRI wonder why on the weekends we get a challenge for completing four games and during the week we get challenges asking us to complete fifteen or twenty games. It makes very little sense to me, but it does make the challenges easier for you today. Just play whatever you feel like and have fun doing it. It is four simple games and should not be a strain at all.
