Halo Reach Daily Challenges Guide - 6/17/13

The Challenges:

More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
This is the odd challenge out today, though it does feel a tad redundant with the "Shootin' and Lootin'" challenge down below. This is the only multiplayer Matchmaking challenge today so you will have no extra help in getting these a hundred and twenty-five multiplayer Matchmaking kills taken care off. In a typical game, you will get about ten to fourteen kills, meaning that you would need to play about ten games for this challenge. So, aim for an atypical game. Grifball is your best bet as it will allow you to score thirty or so kills per game. That means you can get this challenge done in four to five games. Get to hammering.

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3800cR
Well, I guess this is really the main "Get kills" challenge today. Typically you don't see these two challenges together, but you do need a ton of kills today. Two-hundred and fifty should not actually be that difficult to come by, in all honesty, thanks to these other challenges. First off, the "More than a Handful" challenge will get you a hundred and twenty-five kills, "There Are Many Like..." will get you a hundred kills, and "...Is a Virtue" will maybe add about forty kills to that number. Overall, that leaves you with two-hundred and sixty something kills. Pretty sure that takes care of this challenge.

There Are Many Like... - Kill 100 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today. - 2500cR
There are several missions that start you with precision weapons. "Nightfall" will start you with a Sniper Rifle, while ONI: Swordbase and Tip of the Spear will start you with DMRs. Your best bet may be to simply play through two of those levels in a row. Now, playing through two of these levels should hit you about a hundred kills if you are constantly using precision weapons and being smart with your ammunition. You can also replay certain level if you think it will get you enough kills faster. It is entirely up to you, however. Pick your poison, but expect this to take a decent bit.

...Is a Virtue - Score 60,000 points in any Campaign mission with less than 3 deaths. - 4500cR
So sixty-thousand points is not really a lot, but the chance of you hitting this number on missions like Winter Contingency is low unless you have the Iron Skull and other turned on, which I would not recommend for this the "Cannon Fodder" challenge. Instead, we will try a strategy called Banshee Hunting on the map New Alexandria. Basically, you will load up New Alexandria, on Heroic, with the Iron, Tough Luck, Catch, Famine, and Thunderstorm on. Then you will only fly around kill Banshees and Phantoms. A video guide can be seen right here. Taking any of the Skulls off will make this take longer so have all of them on. You can also do this on Legendary to make it go even faster.

The Weekly Challenge:
Exodus: LASO - Complete Exodus, Legendary, All Skulls On (LASO). - 15000cR

Ahh, back to the LASO challenges, which I know that everyone is just so fond of. I must say that I am a little disappointed with the credit reward for this one since Exodus is one of the harder mission on LASO difficulty. Now, for any who are unfamiliar, LASO stands for "Legendary, All Skulls On." Typically, they do not require the Blind Skull to be on (which means it is not actual LASO) but if you want to make sure, when looking at the challenge in Reach, hit "A" and it should bring you to the right lobby with the correct settings. You can do this solo or co-op and both has advantages. Enemies are easier to kill solo but dying means you start the whole thing over. Co-op has you only go back to a checkpoint if someone dies, but enemies are much harder to kill. Follow this guide to see shortcuts and tricks for the level and good luck.
