Halo Reach Daily and Weekly Challenges Guide - 11/12/12

The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
Yeah, you will be super busy today if you are planning on getting all of these challenges. This is the long multiplayer Matchmaking challenge and wants you to score a hundred and twenty-five kills. In all honesty, stick to Grifball, Multi Team, Team Objective, or Invasion. Any of those gametypes will allow you to score at least twenty kills per game, if not more. Grifball is the best where you can routinely hit forty to fifty if you try. Expect this to take five to six games to complete.

Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 200 enemies with automatic weapons in Campaign today. - 3000cR
So, automatic weapons in Reach include the AR, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Needler, and the Brute Spiker. Getting two-hundred kills with these weapons will likely take two or three campaign missions to complete. You need to make sure that you always have to automatic weapons on you so you can easily switch back and forth when one is out of ammunition. Play on Heroic difficulty so you have time to damage enemies with your automatic weapons before AI teammates kills them. This way, the kills still count as automatic weapons kills for you. Finally, do not be afraid to replay some high volume sections to rack up the kills.

The T.G. Opposition - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Shotgun. - 2000cR
The shotgun is selectable in the loadouts if you pick the Arcadefight gametype in the Firefight playlist. By itself, however, for Firefight, the Shotgun is a terrible weapon. You will only want to use it when in close range make sure you have the DMR or another weapon to supplement it at long range. This does not all need to be done in a single game so you can spread it over two or three games if need be.

Survivor - Earn 9 sprees in a Firefight matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A spree in Firefight matchmaking is extremely easy to earn as all the enemies are much easier to kill than they are in multiplayer Matchmaking. However, you will need ten kills instead of five. Once you hit fifty kills, the sprees will become more spread out so, basically, you will need to die on purpose to start back at zero kills. If you have a Sniper, Shotgun, or Sword, you can get another three sprees from those, but you will still be one short if you hit the next Killing Spree at a hundred.

The Weekly Challenge:
Like a Record, Baby - Complete 100 Rounds in Firefight Matchmaking. - 20000cR

Been a while since I remember us having this challenge. This will be challenging, however, have no doubts about it. First off, a typical Firefight game (in the Firefight Playlist) is a single set. A set is made up of three rounds, which are individually made up of five waves. Now, try to get a full team of four to make sure that you do hit and complete a full set every game. Over seven days, this means you need to get fifteen rounds per day, which is five Firefight Matchmaking games. Again, this will be tough and time consuming. If you have time now, play what Firefight you can. As well, stay away from Score Attack. This would take a hundred games to complete.
